![]() If everything checks out up to this point, the only thing else it can be is the O2 sensor. If still no vacuum, the solenoid is bad and must be replaced.ĥ. If not, replace the vacuum line from the valve to the solenoid at the rear of the manifold, and the line from the solenoid to the manifold, and retest. Leave vacuum line disconnected, start car, check to see if the vacuum line has vacuum. If you can't pull a vacuum, replace the valve.Ĥ. The tone changes when the diaphragm opens. Start car, then pull a vacuum on the valve. Disconnect the vacuum line from the valve, attach something like a My-T-Vac. Remove air hose from the connection at the valve, start the car, check to see if you have a nice, strong, air flow from the pump. Start car and see if the SA pump comes on. The SAS monitor should reset after the second or third cold start.ġ. The trick is to do the tests quickly because you'll only get one shot at it per day. How many cold stars would it need?Ĥ) do post cat sensors affect the secondary air monitor to complete? from one of my graphs they fluctuate from. 1-.9.Īre these readings sufficient? do i need to replace bank 1 sensor? I've done only a couple cold starts since i replaced the bank 2 sensor. 45v and not fluctuating so i replaced this with a bosch part then i waited until next morning to try again.īank 1 voltage fluctuates from. i tried to read the logs from sensor 1 banks 1 and 2.īank 2 was reading at. Should i clear the codes and drive cycle again?ģ) i read lazy o2 sensors are the culprit. will a non emission related DTC stop the monitor from completing? I've been doing research and been trying to do some troubleshooting and here is what i have done so far.ġ) the pump located by the passenger wheel feels like it turns on on a cold start for about 60 seconds then turns off.Ģ) i have no check engine light, but the obd2 scanner pulled a P0500 DTC code (vehicle speed sensor) i have the trifecta DCS, ABS and Brake lights on the dash. My smog shop said i do not need the evap ready. I hooked up a bluetooth obd2 scanner and see that the EVAP and SAS monitors are not completed, but every other monitor is complete. My 525i has 164K miles and my California DMV requires a STAR smog to register, but failed.
